ABSTRACT
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 interconnected goals adopted by the United Nations in 2015 to address global problems such as poverty, climate change and climate change other society and environment challenges. The SDG goal is to create a more sustainable and equitable world for all by 2030. A systematic review of the academic literature, policy documents, and the report has been undertaken to identify key findings and emerging issues related to prospects and challenges achieving the SDGs. The assessment found that significant progress has been made in achieving several SDGs, particularly in areas such as poverty reduction, access to education and pre-primary health. However, challenges remain in achieving other goals, including climate change, gender equality and sustainable production and consumption. Despite the challenges, there are some promising prospects for achieving the SDGs. These include growing political commitment, technological advances, and growing public awareness of sustainability issues. Despite progress, there are several key challenges that stand in the way of achieving the SDGs. These include: - Lack of financial resources, limited political will, lack of coordination and cooperation, data gaps and inadequate monitoring. While there are both opportunities and challenges in achieving the SDGs, the urgency of solving global problems requires a coordinated effort from all stakeholders. By addressing challenges and capitalizing on opportunities, the world can work to create a more sustainable and equitable future for all.
