Rishita Srivastava, BA-LLB, Xavier Law School, XIM University

ABSTRACT

One of the older methods of violence practiced by men against women is rape. Throughout the dawn, men have used sexual assault against women to assert their masculinity and maintain their superiority. The following article entails a comprehensive and complete analysis of section 375 of the IPC, which stipulates the offense of rape. Extensively and broadly, I have elaborated and elucidated the offense of rape and what are the prerequisites of the offense. With landmark cases and judicial pronouncements, the article discusses section 375 extensively.
