ABSTRACT
Are fantasy sports legal? Are fantasy sports a game of skill or a game of chance? These are a few debatable questions which have been going around since the past few years. The Supreme Court of India has made it clear that fantasy sports like dream11 are not gambling as they require a certain amount of skill and that Dream11 and various other fantasy sports are a business and banning them would be violative of Article 19(1)(g). In this paper, the writers discuss about the concept and legality of dream 11 and aims to make the audience understand that why the Supreme Court held Dream11 to be legal in India and it also aims to make the audience understand about the potential of the said game.
