Poornima. P, BBA LLB (Hons), Christ Deemed to be University, Bangalore

INTRODUCTION

Because of the age of digitalization, the entertainment business has undergone steady development over the past few decades. This idea of "technological transformation" and the advancement of technology have brought about a societal shift. Thorstein Veblen has described determinism. Consequently, technology has integrated itself into our everyday lives. Films were the only form of moving picture distribution in the world; later, television and now the internet were used.

With the introduction of new technology, the industry has experienced a boom during the last five years. Newspapers' traditional content delivery strategies have been severely affected as a result, and now digital content suppliers are upending broadcasters. The digital sector, along with print, radio, television, and film, makes up the 1.82 trillion Indian entertainment business. The sector of visual entertainment began with print media and television channels. Nearly twenty years ago, the content available on TV is unaltered except a few minor adjustments here and there. Following the introduction of smartphones, the digital content industry saw significant disruptions. The era of over-the-top (OTT) services and online videos allows people to utilize the internet to watch information.
