Mr. Shashwat Bhardwaj, B.A. LL.B., Delhi Metropolitan Education, Noida (Affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi)

ABSTRACT

Global education has undergone a revolution thanks to the widespread adoption of digital technologies, particularly when it comes to digital learning. But this development presents challenges in copyright law, especially in a country like India. To analyse the implications of distance learning, this paper will examine the relationship between copyright law and digital education in India. It looks at the pertinent legal system, which includes the 1957 Copyright Act and its most recent modifications. It also covers new topics like the role of fair dealing clauses, the use of copyrighted materials in online learning environments, and the difficulties that students, teachers, and copyright holders encounter. This study aims to shed light on how copyright is changing in India's digital education sector through case studies and comparative analysis.
