ABSTRACT


This article discusses the complexities of the systemic violence that Dalit women have suffered andcontinue to suffer in modern-day India. At the outset, the author introduces the primary subjects viz., Dalit women in India, and the context within which the article proceeds. Thereafter, the author reviews the existing Indian legal framework that seeks to address the systemic violence that forms the subject of the present article. Finally, the author delves into a critical analysis of this legal regime by analyzing various relevant data points.


The author has relied on purely doctrinal sources for this article. These sources include, but are not limited to research papers, articles, essays, books, and other textual evidence.
