In the age of rapid technological advancements, the criminal justice system is profoundly transformed by the rise of digital technologies. This article examines the concept of “Digital Arrest,” a new paradigm in law enforcement enabled by cyber tools, surveillance systems, and data analytics. The study delves into the implications of digital arrest on law enforcement procedures, emphasizing its impact on efficiency, legal processes, and human rights. It explores the evolving role of digital forensics, real-time surveillance, and AI-driven monitoring in apprehending suspects while considering the ethical dilemmas of privacy invasion, data misuse, and the risk of false positives. The article also highlights the regulatory and legal frameworks required to balance the effectiveness of digital arrest with the protection of civil liberties.
