Evaluating The Changing Divorce Laws In India: Has The Changing Law Increased Or Decreased Divorce Cases?

ABSTRACT


Divorce is known as a legal process for discontinuing a marriage between two married parties. The process of divorce is mostly considered difficult for the parties. Thus, the court under such situations acts as a mediator between the parties and tries their level best to solve the problems within the marriage. Under certain circumstances it becomes quite impossible for the parties to stay within the marriage. So, divorce is the only possible solution for such intolerable situations. Also, it is essential to look upon the mental health of a child in the divorce case, as a child suffers the most before and after the separation process. Therefore, the court and the parents must provide the judgment in favour of the child.


The object of this paper is to make the people aware of the latest changes in the divorce laws and to analyze such changes made under the Indian divorce law. Through this paper one can easily get to know about the recent changes made under the divorce laws in India to seek the reliefs that are provided under the revised laws. Here the researcher has also stated the impact of such changes and made a conclusive study of the changing law.
