ABSTRACT
India's quick economic growth often makes it hard to balance progress with taking care of the environment. This paper looks at how Indian environmental rules are changing and how new technologies are affecting these rules. This study uses a method that looks at laws, policy papers, and court decisions from different parts of the Indian legal system to understand environmental issues. By looking closely at these main sources, the paper wants to:
Identify and analyze the specific technological advancements impacting Indian environmental regulations, including areas such as monitoring, pollution control, and resource management.
Evaluate the potential benefits and limitations of these technologies in achieving environmental sustainability. This includes analyzing the potential for improved efficiency, transparency, and enforcement, alongside potential drawbacks like accessibility issues, unintended consequences, and over-reliance on technological solutions.
Examine how the legal framework addresses the integration of technology into environmental regulations, including considerations for data privacy, equitable implementation, and long-term sustainability.
This paper looks closely at how laws work with new technologies to understand how environmental rules in India might change in the future. It aims to find a way to use technology for development while also protecting the environment and making sure everyone is treated fairly.
