ABSTRACT

This essay explores the emerging trends in corporate mergers and acquisitions taking the case study of the suggested takeover of Twitter by Elon Musk, looking into its strategic importance in both technology and finance areas. By studying why Musk might be interested in such a deal, we will seek out possible common benefits between the two entities as well as risks and what they mean for those involved. We use information already available plus some analysis techniques to reveal Musk's situation: which sets him within a particular environment that calls for specific actions or decisions based on this unconfirmed fusion. Our discoveries give us an idea about what Musk is aiming for when he steps foot into social media, helping paint a picture about what this move could mean not only for tech but also other related sectors — including whether it has potential to drive innovation or just shake up existing markets without any positive outcome.
