ABSTRACT

Despite of being leading creature of the planet amongst billion of other species it took us thousands of years after evolvement to take a unified way to safeguard environment. In 1972 Stockholm convention pioneered the actions taken by world towards a safer environment. India had played a vital role in boom of the environment standards. India has adopted many regulatory measures in matters of Legislation, Judiciary and to the primitive level as well, backed by the principles towards a snug subsistence. Though there were many great minds having benevolence towards environment. Alexander von Humboldt, Greta Thunburg, M C Mehta are some of them. They emerged as influencers to the society.
