ABSTRACT
This paper analyses the concept of Adverse Possession, how it came into existence tracing the genealogy of concept of Adverse possession, its historical relevance and how the concept of Adverse Possession I manifested in every stages of law and emerging Legal Statutes. This paper further dwells into probing what are the elements which constitutes the Adverse possession. What are the basic determinants of Adverse Possession, what are the evidences which needs to be laid down in proving that a possession of a property is an Adverse Possession.
