Human Rights And Its Violation In Democracy And Global Supply Chain

ABSTRACT

The concept of human right is an integral and necessary component of a democracy. Right to freedom for people, protect the individual opportunities, respect of human rights, holding genuine elections are some of the essential elements of democracy. So, in return democracy provide the natural environment for the protections and stabilise human rights. In our global marketplace, major corporations and manufactures frequently utilize third party suppliers and manufacturers located throughout the world to produce a wide range of product. Although human rights labour issues can be found in every country. Democracy is a form of government in which all eligible citizen participates equally, either directly or indirectly. The concept of human right comes into progress after General Assembly of UN adopted Universal Declaration of Human Rights. After the adoption of Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948, human rights were largely viewed as a government responsibility. Even slight change in the priority given to supply chain will cause variation in human rights. The management of global supply chain is primarily concerned with planning, coordination, implementation and it can be reached across multiple countries. Idea of democracy bring great expectation to people and every individual possesses human right. Human right is one of the determining factors in democracy because they articulate freedom oof expression, freedom for life and liberty thus enabling every citizen and group of society to enjoy their life and exercise their power. In this paper I would like to take a closer look on the relationship between human rights and democracy. The relation between human right and democracy is intricate, complex, mutually supportive and it is explained in detail in this paper. Then about scope of human right in human right labour issues. Adverse human right impact can occur at any level of supply chain. Next topic clearly gives the detail about how both human rights and democracy will build up the constitutional and government framework. The role of human right in democracy, will be directly affected by the consultative nature of constitution making process. Paper also focuses on the human right issues in the global supply chain and their impacts. This paper explains about the situation faced by both women and children under the human rights. This paper serves to shed light on how there took place the erosion on human rights and its impact on democracy. The impact of cyberterrorism on human right and democracy is also focused in this paper. Lastly this paper concludes by explaining about the how the violation of human right effect democracy or it bring failure to democracy.
