ABSTRACT


In recent years, Indian companies have participated in the worldwide amalgamation trend by way of cross-border mergers. This research paper scrutinizes the study of such cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Businesses worldwide are moving towards more brilliant collaborations by way of association with large corporations or new startups. Most businesses look to restrict their operational model through partnerships in the form of mergers and acquisitions. Whenever a company wants to extend its business globally, it looks to amalgamate with a business in another country. This paper also examines various government policies and the importance of cross-border deals to grow globally make it essential for businesses to have comprehensive knowledge about cross-border Mergers or Amalgamation. This paper discusses in detail cross-border mergers and acquisitions in India, their meaning, laws applicable, types of Mergers and acquisitions, and cross-border mergers, along with the issues related to cross-border M&A and their effects on businesses.
