ABSTRACT

In the digital age, Intellectual property (IP) faces significant challenges, including technological advancements, digital piracy, legal ambiguity, cross- border transactions, and fair use complexities. This paper explores potential solutions, emphasizing dynamic legislation, specialized tribunals, collaborative international agreements, and alternative licensing models. Regular updates to IP laws ensure relevance, while specialized tribunals enhance the legal system's capacity to address complex issues arising from technology. Collaborative international agreements, facilitated by organizations like the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), harmonize standards for a global framework. Flexible licensing models, such as Creative Commons, promote collaboration and openness in the digital space. The importance of global cooperation is underscored, addressing challenges like cross-border transactions and technological advancements. Collaboration enables a delicate balance between protecting creators' rights and fostering innovation, essential for a thriving global digital economy. This paper concludes that ongoing discussions and collaboration are crucial for anticipating emerging issues, sharing best practices, and ensuring intellectual property frameworks support innovation while broadening access to knowledge and creativity.
