ABSTRACT

Employees of Indian IT industry is one such topic which is highly debatable due to the job security, other issues and challenges in the Indian market. The contribution of IT sector is huge in the Indian economy and also for the country’s growth and development. The employees are restrained and confined and were monitored from the entry to exit. They are being pressurized towards hitting the target. As a result of this, they lose their freedom and made as a puppet in the hands of the employer. In severe cases, employees throw out the at anytime in the name of performance analysis and which were probably uninformed. The research area of my paper had been carried out to analyze the grievances faced in the work environment in their day to day life with the management and the employer. The mere absence of industrial relations in the current phase led the grievances handling mechanism also to tilt from the conventional type to contemporary type. This research also focusses in the redressal mechanism of the IT companies against its logged employee grieves and how far the procedure acts (aspects of measures, time and confidentiality) in solving the grouses and treating the grieved employees, and the satisfaction level of the employees on the redressal mechanism. It also focuses on the various Labour and Industrial legislations provided to the IT employees and whether it is being in practice in the IT industry. The information thus provided also includes definitions of “Employer”, “Employee” under various Industrial and Labour legislations of India.
