Over the years, there has been debate on the link between poverty and crime. Indeed, there is a connection between poverty and crime, as history has shown. Therefore, the goal of this study is to explore the connection between urban poverty and crime. The results of the survey questionnaire suggested that poverty and the crime rate in metropolitan areas have a favourable relationship. The government and NGOs are anticipated to use the study's findings in their follow-up work on initiatives to combat poverty and reduce crime in the future.
