ABSTRACT
This subject presents a wide introduction regarding genetically modified food concerning the safety and security of Genetically Modified Food and how this plays an important role and impacts its place in society. As Genetically modified food topic is a rather controversial topic in the global food sector, it affects on how consumers react to this subject and how much awareness and knowledge they conquer within the aspects of this topic, and also how if GMOs have initially laced their establishment in the society then what kind of stringent laws and regulations must be adhered for proper control and management under the food industry.
This study gives a more ethical explanation of how GMOs are genetically and scientifically modified as edible food substances and how the Consumer Protection Act plays an important role in labelling and manufacturing these food substances for proper consumer intake. It dives into the various challenges and methods of production and distribution, legal controlling, and the making of the required frameworks regarding the proper management of GMOs and how consumer choice plays a crucial role in this topic.
This study examines and evaluates the effectiveness of the Consumer Protection Act in protecting and safeguarding consumer and their rights by ensuring that there is a thorough examination and regular and mandatory supervision of GMOs by appointing proper regulatory bodies who are appointed to supervise and regulate the production and manufacturing of the GMOs. The Consumer Protection Act plays an important role and a keystone where they guarantee the safety and security of providing clarity regarding the information on GMOs. also ensure strict laws and regulations regarding the modification of food products, disclosure of genetic alterations, and other scientific and general modifications visible and conveyed to the consumers.
This study implicates the importance of balancing scientific technical innovation and the safety of the consumer and what recommendations can be taken to improvise and set stricter rules and laws to protect consumer rights and create a sense of awareness amongst the consumer regarding Genetically Modified Food.
