ABSTRACT


This paper discusses the essential role of the ombudsman in safeguarding and promoting human rights within societies. defining the concept of the ombudsman and its historical evolution, highlighting its primary functions and powers. it also discusses the critical connection between the ombudsman's mandate and the protection of human rights. The paper highlights the relevance and significance of ombudsman institutions in today's world, particularly in addressing challenges to human rights, social justice, and democratic governance. It acknowledges the ombudsman's overall role as a key defender of human rights, contributing to a just, transparent, and accountable society.
