Shraddha S, VIT School of Law, Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, India

ABSTRACT

The delivery of legal services, including Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) processes, is being progressively transformed by Information Technology (IT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Although traditionally associated with human lawyers, the provision of legal services in ADR proceedings may eventually be replaced by autonomous computer systems in the near future. In this article, we discuss the importance of IT and AI in dispute resolution and the role played by them in ADR. A few challenges in adopting AI are also discussed.
