ABSTRACT

Terrorism is one of those phenomena which has not only hampered the functioning of a particular state but has also disturbed the world order. Terrorism has caused enormous amount of violence and has been the reason for the loss of millions of lives. The mindset and the motivation that the terrorists have whether they being the organization or an individual has been discussed in this paper.

The impact that the practice of terrorism has caused and to what extent has also been discussed in this paper along with the countermeasures. What drives the terrorists to carry out such an action despite knowing the fact that it will cause such amount of bloodshed and so many people will lose their lives has been a real question which this paper has tried to answer.

The problem of terrorism shall only be dealt with the mindset of protecting the country in which it has happened but it should be dealt with the intention of putting an end to it globally. All the countries should come forward and address this thing and should initiate the motion for making laws that would end the practice of terrorism from its root.

The most common and the most vulnerable targets of the terrorists should be made aware of the tactics that the terrorists use in order to attack them so that they could tackle the attacks and prevent themselves from being attacked by the terrorists as much as they can possibly do.
