ABSTRACT

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a paramount international instrument aiming to protect rights and liberties of people. The declaration helped the world community to adopt other human rights related documents as well. In the area of protection of rights and liberties, apart from the UDHR, artificial intelligence is also playing its proactive role in this direction. It has marked the beginning of an innovative and advanced society where information and resources can be traced with greater access and reliability. Artificial intelligence is being used actively in every area of study and research, including the field of legal profession. The research paper aims to present a competent collaboration of these two diverse fields of study, which is human rights protection and artificial intelligence. The research also intends to explain as to how human rights are being better protected and enforced with the assistance of artificial intelligence and at the same time giving adequate meaning to provisions of the UDHR.
