ABSTRACT


The Metaverse, an emerging digital frontier, presents intricate challenges and opportunities for trademark management. This article explores the interplay between trademarks and the Metaverse, covering diverse topics ranging from brand integration to the fusion of virtual and physical products. Through an analysis of successful brand endeavours in the Metaverse and an overview of forthcoming activities, it sheds light on the evolving role of trademarks in this virtual realm. Additionally, the article examines trademark applications within virtual domains and offers insights into the Indian perspective, including jurisdictional considerations for infringement. By delving into these chapters, readers gain a nuanced understanding of the complexities and prospects associated with trademarks in the Metaverse.
