ABSTRACT

Police negligence and brutality have emerged as significant concerns in the context of law enforcement in India. This abstract shed light on the prevailing issues, contributing factors, and potential solutions regarding this pressing matter.

In recent years, numerous cases have come to light, highlighting instances of police negligence leading to severe consequences, including loss of life, violation of human rights, and erosion of public trust. Furthermore, instances of police brutality, ranging from excessive use of force to custodial torture, have sparked outrage and raised questions about the accountability and integrity of law enforcement agencies across the nation.

This abstract delves into the root causes behind police negligence and brutality in India, encompassing factors such as inadequate training, lack of accountability mechanisms, political interference, and societal biases. Moreover, it examines the systemic issues within the Indian police force, including outdated laws, insufficient resources, and hierarchical structures that often perpetuate a culture of impunity.

In conclusion, this abstract underscore the urgent need for comprehensive reforms within the Indian police force to address issues of negligence and brutality effectively. It advocates for measures such as improved training programs, enhanced accountability mechanisms, legal reforms, and greater community engagement to foster a culture of professionalism, integrity, and respect for human rights within law enforcement agencies in India.
