ABSTRACT

“If we are to teach real peace in this world, and if we are to carry on a real war against war, we shall have to begin with the children.” Mahatma Gandhi This Research paper deals with the Critical Analysis on Child Labour Prohibition Act, 1986. In India, the issue of child labor is a top priority since the early entry into the labor force during a kid's formative years means skipping out on a decent education, which reduces the child's chances of earning more money in the future. Child labor is a complicated issue that is primarily caused by poverty. The nation also suffers from the devastating effects of this social ill at the same time. In India, 3.6% of the workforce is made up of people under the age of 14. Nearly Less than 9% of people work in conventional agriculture, which makes up 85% of all occupations.0.8 % of all jobs are in factories, services, and manufacturing.

Urban areas are also seeing a rise in the use of a child as domestic helpers. Children are frequently forced to work without food and for meager pay in conditions that resemble slavery. The working conditions for children are mainly unregulated. There have been instances of child domestic servants being physically, sexually, and emotionally abused. Family placement of children for care and employment in these homes is a common defense of domestic work. India has made it a priority to end child labor, and this effort is being carried out at the local level. Along with domestic and international organizations, non-governmental and volunteer organizations are active in this process.

This paper aims to present a situation in which child labor increases and elaborates on many issues that have arisen as a result of this particular issue. The actions that will be needed to fix these issues are suggested. Finally, it concludes that resolving the difficulties that have arisen as a result of the recommended solution to child labor.
