A Study On Judicial Activism: Towards The Use Of Women Protection Laws In India

ABSTRACT:


Judiciary in India has made significant effectors to protect women rights. The wide range of interpretation done by judiciary has empowered women to challenge their legal rights. The enforcement of women protection laws by the legislature has resulted in protecting women’s from violence, rape, kidnapping, sexual abuse and many other crime against women. Judiciary has equally protect women’s rights and dignity, despite of the laws protecting women, there has been misappropriate use of laws by women in India and as a matter of facts many family has suffered mental agony , torture, humiliation and many other related issues. Judiciary has played a major role in interpreting the women protection laws in India and has given landmark judgments. The study highlights how Judiciary has not biased justice and relays more on facts. Where ever it is necessary courts have taken measures to help the victims.
