ABSTRACT


This article focuses on the definition of competition law and how it restricting monopolies and other anti-competitive practices. Competition law has been a potent tool for fostering economic advancement and socioeconomic wellbeing in the contemporary period. The essay will be set in perspective by examining the historical evolution and Developments of competition law from global perspective and the facts surrounding the creation of competition laws in India, the United States, and the United Kingdom, as well as their actual implementation, with a focus on horizontal and vertical anti-competitive agreements. The goal of this article is to compare anti-competitive agreement laws in the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as section 3 of the Indian Competition Act, in order to examine the importance of competition in the global economic market and the key concepts under competition law.
