ABSTRACT
The issue of gender neutrality in laws has become crucial in current legal discussions, especially when it comes to ensuring equality and justice for all genders. This research paper delves into the intricacies involved in gender- neutral legislation in India, analysing the obstacles, advancements, and recommendations for improvement. Recently, there has been increasing acknowledgment of the importance of addressing the distinct obstacles encountered by men in legal systems supposedly focused on advancing gender equality. This research paper focuses on the conflict between striving for gender neutrality in the legal field related to rape provisions. By examining current laws and policy efforts, along with global viewpoints, the research paper emphasizes upon the significance of embracing a comprehensive and interconnected strategy to advance gender equality and justice. The research paper ends with recommendations for change, gender impact analyses, legal assistance, all-encompassing policy development, and research. By making these efforts, India can progress towards establishing a legal system that is genuinely unbiased in terms of gender and supports equality and justice for every gender.
