ABSTRACT
Illegal trade of wildlife birds and animals is one the largest and organised illegal business in the world. A wildlife crime and illegal trade of wild animals and birds is a serious and growing problem, posing a significant threat to the environment and negatively impacting economic and social development, security and governance of the country. Wildlife protection is an important aspect of our environment and infringement of wild animal’s rights is a serious issue that has been on the rise in the recent years. Animals in the wildlife have the same right to life and freedom as humans, yet they often fall victim to human activities such as poaching, deforestation, pollution, and hunting. The illegal wildlife trade is a major and widespread threat to a wide range of wildlife species, which is provoking substantial public interest. It is also a governance and livelihood issue. Although, National and International illegal Wildlife Trade policy already exist but are underutilized. Through the present work researcher tries to analyses these resources which produce the substantive benefits for wildlife conservation and associated sectors, enabling governments to better meet their obligations under the sustainable development goals and international biodiversity conventions. India, being one of the most biodiverse country around the globe, is particularly vulnerable to this illicit activities of illegal wild life trade of birds and animals. Hence, in order to combat this issue effectively, it is crucial to conduct research on illegal wildlife trade for the protection of ecological system of our country.
