ABSTRACT


India, being an extensive nation, possesses a wealth of cultural heritage. The cultural diversity is so pronounced that each major religion has its own distinct denominations. The practices and worship method vary significantly. Formulating a unified civil law for a diverse country like India poses a formidable challenge. This article explores the complex and nuanced landscape surrounding the uniform civil code in India. The article also considers the potential benefits and challenges associated with the adoption of a uniform civil code and also shedding light on the ongoing discourse related to it.
