Introduction


Babasaheb Ambedkar (14-4-1891 to 6-12-1956), whose real name was Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was an economist, politician, social jurist, framer of our Constitution, and most importantly, a social reformer who encouraged the Dalit- Buddhist movement and also protested against social discrimination towards the untouchables (Dalits). He was first sovereign India's law minister and the chief architect of the Indian Constitution.
