ABSTRACT


Arrest and Detention are important stages of criminal justice, which aims to ensure social order while protecting human rights. This article provides a critical analysis of these practices and examines their legal, ethical and social implications. Drawing on international human rights standards, domestic law, and academic debates, this article explores the balance between public safety and civil liberties. It also examines the prevalence of false arrests, particularly in disadvantaged communities, and examines the impact of advances in policing and the use of surveillance testing. Through this analysis, this article aims to contribute to ongoing debates about transitional justice and the protection of human rights in today's society.
