ABSTRACT


The emerging sciences and technology have drastically changed human life in our society. The criminal justice administration now depends on scientific evidence in almost all modern judicial systems. Artificial Intelligence is one of the technologies which has become part of our life and that influences our decision-making patterns and needs. Although AI is not defined in law, but it is defined in the computer science and methodology. AI in forensic science is playing a significant role and might become a key part of forensic science in administration of criminal justice system. By detecting sceptical activities, AI can prevent crimes and also improve law enforcement outcomes, by reducing time. AI improves forensic science and investigations in DNA test profiling. AI is making more comfortable and easy life but we should not forget this can be big thread for our data protection and Privacy. Around the world, to avoid discrimination and fundamental rights infringement, the use of AI in law enforcement implies a high-level accountability, fairness and transparency. As a result, the European Commission has understood this by proposing on 21 April 2021, The Artificial Intelligence Act. In India many of states has been solved cases by help of AI i.e., Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi. More than 400 cases have been solved and 342 charges sheets have been filed by the Delhi Police in 2020.
