Balancing Human Rights And Environmental Protection: A Study Of Indian Environmental Law

ABSTRACT


Environmental laws are essential, as they are a set of norms that protect the environment, ensure the right of each human being to a clean and healthy environment and principles of sustainable development. In this article, we will talk about the environmental legal framework of India. It covers the development of environmental jurisprudence in India through a study of key statutes, landmark cases and constitutional provisions. This study examines key concepts, such as the nature and typology of environments themselves in order to lay a theoretical-legal groundwork. Moreover, it emphasizes the women in environmental conservation and preservation. This article lays out a wide range of interrelated subjects in environmental law, sustainable development and human well being with particular reference to the unique experiences and challenges that India has had in respect of these three interconnected arenas.
