C. Sai Vishal, BBA.LLB, School of Law, Mahindra University

ABSTRACT

Feminism is a crucial movement that has been advocating for women's rights and social equality in India. It has played a vital role in pushing for justice and equality for marginalized groups and has brought about several positive reforms in the legal system through its activism. However, the concept of feminism has been distorted in recent years, leading to the rise of toxic feminism. This form of extreme feminism promotes hatred and prejudice against men based on their gender, which severely impedes India's efforts to achieve gender equality and uphold the rule of law.

The aim of this research paper is to analyse the impact of toxic feminism on India's judicial system and the importance of confronting it. It will investigate the development of toxic feminism and its intersectionality, as well as the history of feminism in the legal system. Additionally, the research will examine how toxic feminism has affected men's rights in India, particularly with regards to discrimination and false accusations.

The paper will begin by exploring the concept of feminism and the evolution of the feminist movement in India. It will highlight the achievements and challenges faced by feminists across the country. Next, it will investigate the causes of toxic feminism's emergence in India and how it has affected the judicial system. The study will also analyze how toxic feminism has impacted the rights of Indian men and the necessity of promoting gender equality.

In conclusion, the paper will emphasize the legal provisions in India that promote gender equality and the need to balance the rights of both men and women. It will stress the importance of challenging toxic feminism to advance gender equality and safeguard the integrity of the legal system. The paper will endorse a balanced approach to feminism that advocates for women's rights without promoting discrimination against men.
