Concept Of Dharma And Its Relevance In Indian Jurisprudence

ABSTRACT


In Spite of the differences between the interpretation of dharma and jurisprudence, both are interrelated and dependent. The concept of dharma and jurisprudence started with the evolution of human beings from ancient times. Both are similar in nature but are different in execution and other many ways. The purpose is similar but objectives are distinct, the process varies, different advantages and disadvantages and they are dependent. Both are very essential for mankind and the lives of humans. One should follow the rules and regulations in order to live in harmony and peace. Dharma and jurisprudence might be essential to the survival and development of humans in peace. One of the most common meanings of dharma is ‘duty’.
