ABSTRACT
The environmental effect of modern businesses in today’s world is substantial. Enterprises contribute to the destruction of current ecosystems and pose serious threats to the planet's biological diversity by wasting natural resources and releasing harmful chemicals. Therefore, there is an immediate need for a wide range of interventions to mitigate the destructive effects of businesses, households, and communities on the natural world. The importance of businesses taking responsibility for their actions to the world of environmental conservation is explored. The priority that the Indian government places on development, privatization, and globalization has resulted in a move away from public spaces and towards private ones. CSR has developed into a channel through which corporate companies can participate in governmental aid and social welfare projects, especially those pertaining to the environment. The protection of ecosystems from damage caused by pollution and other activities carried out by humans is made possible in large part by environmental conservation. According to the idea, corporate social responsibility (CSR) covers both ethical behavior towards stakeholders as well as duty towards the environment. The study emphasizes the significance of implementing CSR into corporate practices and draws attention to the role that environmental conservation plays in the process of developing a sustainable future. It emphasizes the necessity for standardized management systems to enable adequate identification, limiting, and monitoring of environmental hazards and responsibilities.
