Corporate Social Responsibility In India And The Assistance Provided By NGOS And NPOS: A Brief Analysis

Harsh Mangalam, School of Law, GITAM University, Visakhapatnam

ABSTRACT

Corporate Social Responsibility has given companies a broader scope of purpose, apart from making profits. CSR activities have improved the conditions of some of the most underdeveloped parts of the country. CSR also allows companies to build interpersonal relationships with the people they help and gives them a positive public image. India was the first country to make CSR mandatory for companies that fulfilled the requirements. NGOs and NPOs also play a significant role in effectively implementing these activities because of their experience in helping the underprivileged.
