Could France Soon Have A Sixth Republic?

Rooba V, CMR University

ABSTRACT

The present political system in France dates from 1958, and it arose from the Algerian War's crises. Since the Revolution in 1789, France has had five republics, although only two of them have survived for a long time. Each republic is associated with a distinct system, complete with its own institutions and constitution. It's been radically altered so many times that it's possible it'll be again. Despite several reforms, substantial social and political transformations, and repeated requests that the Fifth Republic give ground to the Sixth Republic, this remains intact. I've heard that the Fifth Republic may be coming to an end shortly. What changes will the new republic bring, how will this be determined, and how will it vary from the current one?
