ABSTRACT


Predominantly, international mergers and acquisitions refer to the amalgamation of resources by contrasting associations to increase efficiencies and consequently profit margins. The last decade has witnessed a considerable increase in the number of mergers and acquisitions (M&As), which have become the engine of the world's marketplace. A greater number of businesses are turning to mergers and acquisitions as a strategic growth tool that enables them not only to stay antagonistic but also to escalate their profitability, and market share, and monopolize worldwide. Furthermore, there are several opportunities and problems faced by various atypically distinctive companies in integration procedures. To consolidate and synthesize the existing area of study, this article ventilates the whole concept pertinent to international mergers and acquisitions, commencing with its elucidation, and significance in today’s world accompanied by a correlation study of particular factors. Moreover, the key difficulties inclusive of certain criteria and explanations that might influence the outcome of cross-border mergers and acquisitions in connected businesses are deliberated here. The article's conclusion predicts that there will probably be more merger and acquisition transactions forthwith shortly and the momentum has taken a leap shift in this accent and solicitousness has to be shown in disentangling the issues of jurisdiction exceptionally.
