ABSTRACT

India witnessed a long revolution lasting around 1 year in the form of protest against the three Farm amendment laws passed by Parliament last year. Although a couple of weeks ago, the Union Government repealed the three laws, an act criticized by many as a political bait before State Elections, but the academic importance of such an important national issue which even gathered widespread international attention, cannot be mitigated. Several issues, such as a genuine need for the reform proposed by the acts, the issues associated with them including, but not limited to legislative competency, the poor response of Government towards the protests throughout the nation, the reaction of the Guardian to the Indian Constitution, etc. are important issues which are required to be discussed in detail. The research work at hand makes a humble attempt to discuss these issues comprehensively, in order to highlight the future relevance of said issues.
