ABSTRACT


The people of India are largely stepping towards the digitalization to make their lives easier and comfortable. Cyber crimes are increasing with the advancement of technology. The rapid technological advancements leave the law behind. Cyber crimes against women are increasing rapidly in India and they are becoming main victims in the cyber world. Cyber criminals are misusing the technology for harassing women for voyeuristic pleasures. This paper deals with some of the major crimes committed against women in India, reasons for the growth and laws, statues and provisions dealing with cyber crimes against women, some famous judicial pronouncements, comparison between different countries and remedies and recommendations to curtail cyber-crime against woman.
