ABSTRACT


The purpose of this paper is to establish the idea about the Cyber extortion and online blackmailing have become prevalent threats in the digital age, posing significant risks to individuals, businesses, and organizations worldwide. This paper provides an overview of these malicious activities, exploring their methods, motivations, and impacts on victims. It examines the various tactics employed by cybercriminals to extort money or sensitive information, including ransomware attacks, DDoS threats, and data breaches. Furthermore, the paper discusses the psychological and financial ramifications experienced by victims, as well as the legal and ethical implications associated with combating cyber extortion. Finally, it offers recommendations for individuals and organizations to enhance their cybersecurity posture and mitigate the risk of falling victim to these insidious schemes.
