Introduction

The Internet has become wider in the 21st century. The internet created a channel which made communication and sharing of data very easier. In one second, the information of one person is shared to another person. Social media was one of the platforms where the people of every country easily connect and access each other's information in a single click. Inventions, technologies and discoveries widen the scientific horizons but also create challenges for women in the world. Technology has some loopholes which give access to criminals to misuse the internet and harm the liberty of women. Hurting the liberty of women increases cyber crimes. The safety of women is always in question in a developing country like India where there are a lot of crimes against women. This article aims to talk about cyberstalking against women and how it affects them.

Cyber Stalking in general means following someone through e-sources. Cyberstalking is a type of cybercrime which means stalking through online mode. Cyberstalking also known as online stalking or internet stalking. According to Pew Research Centre Survey, about 40% of the internet has already experienced harassment and females endure higher rates of threat. Also, most of the cases were not filed due to a lack of evidence and fear of identity disclosure during the investigation.
