Cyber Terrorism - A New Challenge

ABSTRACT


Presently, the human life has effected in large scale from the development in the field of IT, electronic and internet. Internet is used everywhere and almost in all fields of human life. People from various backgrounds such as science, politics, economic and religious are using internet for the promotion of their goals and objectives. The cyber world is not unknown to the terrorists. The terrorism existed in human life throughout from the existence of human being. As the human life is changing, methods of terrorism are also changing to adopt new ways. From the start of digital life, the internet has been used frequently for terrorism purposes. The Cyber terrorism made easy for the terrorists to contact other people belonging to their organizations. Sometimes communication for carrying out terrorist acts is also carried out through cyber world which is an important issue in the present scenario. This article proceeds with introduction of cyber terrorism. Various types and objectives of cyber terrorism, reasons of cyber terrorism, and details about various reasons for cyber terrorism such as personal reasons, religious reasons, social reasons and economic reasons are issues of importance. It also deals with effects of terrorism on Muslim society with special emphasis on economic, social and psychological effects of terrorism. The new challenge of combating cyber terrorism drastically emerging as a serious crime at present has been elaborated in this article.
