Cybercrime Against Women With Special Emphasis On Cyberbullying, Sextortion And Right To Privacy

Introduction

Cyberspace is the name which is given to the world of internet which is computer generated and cyber laws are the regulations that are applied there. There is the fact that this space has a form of universal jurisdiction and therefore all users are governed by these regulations. Internet 1surfing basically became a regular practice for social, educational, professional and also for entertainment purpose in today’s digital world where every people rely on internet for their daily needs and purposes specially during pandemic when online sectors and web became the need and requirement for each and every individual across the world. 2Women have been learning or working using online platforms and frequently using and is active in social media platforms. 3While most of the people are engaged on this kind of internet platform for good and better purposes like education, professional, social and sundry others, there are lot of 4miscreants who use these digital tools for negative purposes to abuse, stalk, harass and bully online users especially women. Infact there are a number of crimes which are done online and this kind of criminal activity is called Cybercrime which involves using cyberspace. 5Cyber- crime can be defined as an unlawful activity which is defined through the internet and digital devices which is intending to 6creep into the private space of any individual or others and disturb then as well as blackmail them with objectionable content and misbehaviour. Cyber- crime affects women the most by subjecting them to mental and emotional harassment.
