Cybersecurity And Confidentiality In Digital Legal Services

Harsh Agarwal, UPES, Dehradun

ABSTRACT

The broad availability of digital tools for the generation of documents, the resolution of conflicts, and the provision of legal support has had a significant impact on the improvement of access to justice. Data breaches, unauthorised access, and the exploitation of sensitive information are just some of the serious privacy and security challenges that have arisen as a result of the rapid evolution of digital technology. This study investigates the potential risks that are associated with the utilisation of online legal services, investigates the ways in which technological advancements such as blockchain and encryption contribute to the mitigation of these risks, and highlights the significance of putting in place stringent regulations and establishing ethical standards. By addressing these problems, digital legal platforms will be able to achieve their goals of establishing confidence, ensuring the efficiency and safety of technology-driven solutions, and providing consumers who are looking for justice online with the ability to pursue their claims.
