E-Banking: Challenges In India

ABSTRACT

With the advancement in technology, banking sector has adopted new technologies like E-banking for their day-today transactions like opening new bank account, deposition, withdrawal and transfer of money, details of accounts etc. E-banking is banking using internet and also known as electronic banking, online banking or internet banking. The bank consumer can access his account easily from anywhere in world through e-banking service.

Though E-banking in India is still in under development stage, it plays an important role in changing the traditional ways of baking which ultimately helping the banking sector to achieve customer satisfaction. The present article is describing the current status of e-banking in India along with the challenges and opportunism facing by the banking sector in India.
