E-Commerce Regulation In The Emerging Era: The Role Of World Trade Organization

ABSTRACT

The World Trade Organization has been hesitant to act, particularly when it comes to integrating the digital economies of various nations. due to tensions between governments over internet regulation and electronic development, a complex, multifaceted electronic commerce environment, and a range of interests. To provide a secure, sure, and trustworthy governing framework for electronic commerce, the agreement, primarily at the World Trade Organization forum, serves as an intermediary responsibility Therefore, it needs to be reorganised in a large and early manner to support the development of the electronic economy. This study concentrates on the World Trade Organization's reform to bring it into compliance with and capable of handling complex modern trade treaties. There isn't a comprehensive transformation programme in place for the World Trade Organization now.
