The present scenario is such that the necessity of opting an alternative energy has become inevitable for all nations. Every nation requires energy to accomplish its economic goals, access to better standard of living and other developments. It also focuses on governmental policies, laws, measures and initiatives that are undertaken for promoting renewable energy resources as a substitute. The paper highlights the current achievements and challenges that are faced by renewable energy sector in India. The end of the paper shall conclude with people’s approach on how they are adopting to this shift from non-renewable resources to renewable resources. The paper shall conclude with recommendations and conclusions based on the various findings throughout the research process.
